About Us

To Our STEM Community,

It is my pleasure and honor to serve as the Superintendent of the Dayton Regional STEM School. Since 2009, our school has embraced the challenge placed before us to offer a world class STEM education to students in the greater Miami Valley. Our entire staff takes this challenge to heart on a daily basis. Through Project-Based Learning and with real world connections to present-day problems, our students are invited to join their peers in a journey of discovery. Our learning model allows the students grow their competencies in our five important qualities: Persistence, Inquiry, Communication, Creativity and Collaboration. Upon graduation, our graduates are ready to take on any challenge, in any discipline.

My belief is that culture trumps everything in a school environment, so I commit to you that our staff will spend a great deal of time and effort protecting and improving our ACE (Accepting Culture for Everyone) culture at STEM. We stand by the fact that students who feel safe and welcome have the emotional and psychological freedom to grow academically, personally and socially. May STEM always be this safe place for your child.

While our community footprint is broad, with families from over 30 school districts and as many as 9 counties, my hope is that you will feel connected to each other through our shared passion for educational excellence.
