A New Positive Case is a positive COVID result reported over the past seven days for a student/staff that has been on-site.
A Probable Case is diagnosed by a physician based on symptoms and exposure even if a test was not performed.
Total Cases reflect the sum of all positive COVID cases reported this school year for students/staff that have been on-site.
The dashboard will not include virtual-only learners who have had no contact with the school.

POSITIVE COVID TEST OR EXPOSURE
If your child tests positive for or is exposed to COVID-19, please notify the school clinic at 937-256-3777 as soon as possible. A notice to all families will be sent within 24 hours. If the case affects students in the building, those at risk of exposure will be notified with recommendations for isolation, according to current guidelines. School officials will use guidance from Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County for all necessary precautions and follow-up.
Please note that personal information is protected under HIPAA and FERPA laws. The Dayton Regional STEM School will not release the names or information of students or staff members who may test positive or report exposure.
This is a reminder that we need to continue to be vigilant in our self-assessment each day, both in and out of school. Additionally, wearing a mask at all possible opportunities and proper social distancing are other key components of mitigating the chances of contracting and spreading COVID-19. If symptoms arise, please contact the school and your healthcare provider for follow-up, but do not report to the school building.
CURRENT STEM SCHOOL QUARANTINE GUIDELINES
OPTIMAL DURATION - Quarantine for 14 days from last point of contact with positive person
REDUCED DURATION 1 - Quarantine for 10 days from last point of contact with positive person
Individuals must be symptom free during entire quarantine period.
REDUCED DURATION 2 - Quarantine for 7 days from last point of contact with positive person
Must be symptom free during the entire quarantine period
Must have a negative molecular (PCR) test taken no earlier than day 5 to return
Proof of negative test must be submitted to clinic staff prior to returning to schoo

90-DAY IMMUNITY - Individuals who have tested positive with a molecular (PCR) test are not required to quarantine for 90 days beginning on the date of symptom onset, or testing date for an asymptomatic positive person. Proof of a positive molecular (PCR) is required to qualify for immunity.
